I had such a GREAT time in Dothan on Saturday with this preciously sweet couple, Kathryn and Wesley. They were married at the First Baptist Church of Dothan at 2:00 in the afternoon. Kathryn and Wesley did choose to see each other before the wedding, so we had plenty of time to get some great shots of these two! Beautiful church. Beautiful bride. Beautiful weather. Beautiful flowers. Fun bridal party. Sweet families. Great band. Great food. Ahhh..I love my job!

I was reminded during the ceremony a little bit about their story….they had met in college…went on a few dates, and then Kathryn told Wesley she wanted to just be friends! Apparently he was NOT ok with that answer, and his persistence ended up winning over her heart! It was clear from all of their friends and family that this was a relationship truly blessed by the hand of God.

Knowing they had a good size bridal party, and alot of guests planned to be in attendance, I was mentally prepared for a pretty hectic day. I was so pleasantly surprised when the entire day had such a calm, peaceful feel. An amazingly calm, sweet bride…and both families could not have been more excited and supportive of these two!

They had a pretty great lookin bridal party! I was a huge fan of these light blue bridesmaids dresses. I’ve only shot 2 other weddings with blue dresses, and I always LOVE how the photos turn out!

I’d say the picture below defines one proud man!

Kathryn and Wesley rushed off to the reception in this cool car that took them to The Country Club just a few miles down the road!

There was alot of impressive dancing going on at the Country Club that night, but the woman who absolutely STOLE THE SHOW was Kathryn’s sweet grandmother! She was brought up on stage, very much against her will, and when the Band leader asked her to shake her hips….after a quick look of panic on her face, she handled it like a champ and had the crowd going crazy! AMAZING!!

One last shot after running through a tunnel of white rose petals into their fancy getaway car! Off to Mexico they go…

I couldn’t have asked for a better start to my 2010 wedding season!
