Jessie and Woody

I was excited for the opportunity to travel to The Grant Hotel outside of Fairhope, Alabama to shoot Jessie and Woody’s wedding! I shot Jessie’s older sister, Kaitlyn’s wedding two years ago at the Palmetto Bluff Resort in South Carolina.  I’m tellin you what…this family knows how to do a destination wedding! Jessie and Woody’s engagement was fairly short, so they ended up getting married on a Sunday.  Have a mentioned yet on my blog that I love Sunday weddings!  I’m not exactly sure why, but something about them just feels a little but more relaxed! As you can see from the photo above, the scenery could not have been prettier for this wedding! They got married right by the water, under a huge tree with flowers hanging from the trees and sprinkled on the lawn!

Jessie and Woody chose not to see each other before the ceremony, so I spent a good amount of time with the bridesmaids and then the groomsmen around the resort taking fun pictures before the ceremony! We luckily dodged some huge rain clouds and we able to get by with only a few drops of rain! Jessie’s dad walked her down the aisle, and then performed the service, which I thought added a special touch to their day!

The reception was held in one of the resorts ballrooms! It was decorated to a “t,” the food looked delicious, and the band had just about EVERYONE up at stage at some point! Very entertaining! They danced up until about 11:30, and then called it a night when they ran to their limo after being covered with bird seed!
