Julie and Tommy!

I had a bunch of shoots last week that got me way behind on editing these pictures of the beautiful Douglass wedding! I’m excited to say I am finally ready to share more! Although rain was in the forecast for last Saturday, it turned out to be an amazing day in Montevallo at The American Village! It was even overcast during most of the pictures before the wedding (which I love!), and the sun came out just in time for the ceremony!

Like I mentioned in the previous blog about this wedding, the TV show “Say Yes to the Dress” was there filming the wedding! Apparently they are starting an new series out of Atlanta that will be airing in the next few months, and the Douglass’ will be on there! (not exactly sure when, but when I know, I’ll let you know!) Julie bought her amazing dress from Bridals by Lori out of Atlanta.  So Lori herself was there to help with the dress and feature in the show with the beautiful bride!

The reception was held in the newly opened ballroom at American Village.  That was my first time shooting in the ballroom (I’ve always shot receptions in the barn), and it was BEAUTIFUL! It of course helped that Julie picked out the most amazing flowers spread all throughout the tables! The bride’s cakes was unbelievable, and the grooms cake was one of the most original cakes I’ve seen!  They even had cute (and yummy!) cross-shaped cookies, and a few different types of koozies to hand out as favors for the guests.

The bride and groom, along with all of their guests, clearly danced up a storm and seemed to have a ball at their wedding! I had so much fun watching everyone bust a move on the dance  floor!
