Kari and Andrew!

On Friday afternoon I had the pleasure of photographing this beautiful couple! Kari and Andrew Clark both also graduated from Samford, but I didn’t get the chance to know them until after we were all out of school!  Kari has been one of my faithful followers and supporters of my photography over the last year! I was flattered when she emailed me a few weeks back telling me that they wanted to be my “subjects” for some photos!

Kari and Andrew have been married for over seven years, so they were just getting some updated pictures of them as a married couple!  I love shooting couples that have been married for a while.  I was telling these two that engagement pictures are always sweet, but young married couples are great because they are so at ease with each other, and I feel like the pictures just look so much more comfortable!  They were a good example of this!

I enjoyed getting to spend some time with them and learn more about their journey together.  They have a very interesting story in how they got together in college, but then parted ways when Kari moved off to Colorado after graduation.    Once she moved back to Birmingham, it wasn’t until she told Andrew that she was going to move away again that they decided they couldn’t live without each other!

I could’ve taken about a billion of these two because they were just so sweet, and such beautiful “subjects.”  I hope I get the chance to photograph you guys again someday…maybe with their puppy next time
