Kelli and Josh!

I was so excited about shooting Kelli and Josh’s wedding on Saturday.  You would think after coming back from a Jamaica wedding that I wouldn’t be too thrilled to be back in Birmingham, but even though I don’t know Kelli and Josh that well, they have become one of my favorite couples I’ve worked with!  I am almost positive that they have dated for six years, and finally decided that 8-8-09 was their day to start their forever together!

This top photo was taken at The Summit Club in downtown Birmingham.  The venue pulled them into this nice little room and gave them a bite to eat before they were swarmed with guests at the reception! I’m so glad they grabbed me to come take this photo, because I think its one of my favorites I’ve taken in a while!  Pretty simple, but extremely romantic!

Their ceremony was held at Canterbury United Methodist Church.

Kelli’s mom and dad seemed to be having so much fun together on the dance floor! I was happy to see the family workin the dance floor a little, rather than being caught up talking the entire time!

They had a great motown-type band out of Atlanta…can’t remember their name! Right before Josh was ready to take off Kelli’s garter, the lead singer of the band instructed Josh to do a little dance for his new bride, and “show her the type of man she was gettin!”   It was pretty impressive! And even more impressive that when he asked Kelli to stand up, although she didn’t seem excited at first, she put on a good show herself! What a fun couple!  I like how they are both laughing at each other when the other one is dancing!
