I met Martin and Lindsay for the first time when I shot their engagement pictures in Nashville a few months ago. Even though I didn’t know them very well, I was very excited about shooting their wedding! I really enjoyed meeting them both and knew their wedding day was going to be great! And guess what…I was right

Their ceremony was held at Liberty Park Baptist Church. That was my first time shooting at that location, and I really liked it! For the first time in over a month I shot a wedding where it wasn’t either raining or sweltering hot!! Actually it was quite the opposite…it was FREEZING!! But the sweet bridesmaids were troopers and toughed the cold outside to get some fun pictures!

The best way I can describe their wedding was to say that “it had great energy.” I feel like that makes me sound sorta weird and hippy or something, but I just mean that everyone just seemed so excited! The bridesmaids were singing in the bathroom while they were getting ready, and the groomsmen and Martin definitely seemed to be having fun as well! Lindsay was nervous in a sweet, excited way!

They chose not to see each other beforehand, but of course we did a fun shot around the corner of them holding hands…which brought some immediate tears to the pretty brides face!
After the ceremony we took some quick shots outside in the cold before we all headed to the Carraway-Davie House for the reception.

Martin and Lindsay danced to one of my favorite songs for their first dance….Dave Barnes’ “Nothing Fancy.” It was almost making me tear up seeing the way she was looking at him, but then I couldn’t help but laugh inside when my eyes drifted towards the floor and noticed that he was doing his best not to step on the train of her dress! Nothin fancy, right?

They had a fantastic DJ that kept everyone on the dance floor most of the night! He seriously played one great song after another, and I was borderline bouncin behind my camera!

One other very clever thing about their wedding were the gifts to the guests. Being that they are both pharmacists, they had empty prescription bottles (I’m sure there’s another name for those), with labels on them with their wedding date and a message to the guests. The bottles were sitting on a table with a bunch of jars of jelly beans for you to fill your bottle! So cute!

What a great night!
