More of Caroline and Jonathan!

I had a first this weekend…one thing that has NEVER happened….I was LATE to a wedding!! That is close to my worst nightmare! I left Birmingham to head to Columbus, Georgia and got caught behind a huge wreck on Highway 280.  On top of getting set back from that, it was POURING almost the entire way!  I ended up arriving almost 30 minutes later than I said I would be! I was so upset, but luckily because the weather had been so nasty, the sweet bride Caroline was outside rearranging decorations, so she wasn’t even ready to put on her dress when I got there! She claimed she was more worried about the fixing the decorations than me being a little late…whew!  So she got things exactly how she wanted, and then we actually managed to have plenty of time to get some great photos!

The ceremony and reception were held outside at the Botanical Gardens.  Luckily the rained stopped within about 2 hours of the ceremony, so her family quickly dried off the chairs and cleared up the walkways to make things perfect for their 7:00 wedding!  Caroline and Jonathan choose to see each other beforehand, and we did their first “moment” out on the beautiful front porch of this home.

Caroline clearly paid a lot of attention to details in making this a perfect, fall wedding! The jars above with the cute stickers were filled with candy corn and halloween pumpkins as favors for the guests.  (did she know those pumpkins are my favorite?!?)  The jars were all piled up in a wheel barrel right outside of the area where the ceremony was held.  There were beautiful fall-colored flowers and pumpkins everywhere! It truly was beautiful!

This is Caroline posing with her cousin and bridesmaid, Heather.  I shot Heather’s wedding about 2 years ago, so I owe Heather for suggesting that her cousin use me as her photographer! I always love getting to catch up with couples whose weddings I’ve shot! (and even more fun when I learn they are pregnant! Yay Heather and Britt!)

Caroline and Jonathan had their first dance outside, followed by dances with Caroline’s dad and Jonathan’s mom.   I thought the pictures of Caroline hugging her dad was pretty sweet!

Caroline and Jonathan are now in Vegas celebrating their new beginning!  Congrats to you both!

October 16, 2009 - 5:33 AM Claus - Congrats to both, great "fabulous" AWP photos, and a very special thanks to Jonathan. If you look at AWP's teaser pics below ( http://www.awweddings.com/blog/busy-weekend ), you'll see two little stripe's on Jonathan's right sleeve. This means that Sergeant Jonathan has already served TWO combat tours for us. Thank you, Jonathan!
