So every once and a while I get to experience weddings from the “other side,” which is what I did this weekend as a bridesmaid to my sweet friend and (now former!) roommate, Alison Skinner. I know you are shocked to read that I did in fact bring my camera along, even though I was technically “off duty!” However, I forced myself to not have my camera in my hand the entire day so that I could enjoy in the fun of this special day for Alison and Michael!
(I do have to write that these were all taken with my backup…not my “big daddy.” Still turned out pretty nice, though! Now we all know if worse comes to worse and something bad happens to my big camera, my backup will work just fine!)

Alison and Michael got married in Dallas at the First Baptist Chuch downtown, with the ceremony following at Union Station a few blocks down the road! It was 70 degrees on Thursday afternoon when we all arrived, and ended up snowing on their wedding day! The weather sure didn’t phase the bride or groom…they were strictly excited to be getting married, regardless of all the details!
For some reason I didn’t think I would get emotional during the ceremony, but wow..its been a while since I’ve been to one of my closest friend’s weddings, and there is just something incredible about seeing someone you love just beaming with happiness! I have never seen Alison look happier and more beautiful, and Michael was the perfect picture of a peacefully confident groom! I was truly honored to be a part of their day!

Congrats to the lovely bride and handsome groom! Sadie and I already miss you Skin!
