Skinner and Michael!

Yesterday was an extra fun engagement session for me! My roommate, Alison Skinner, and her fiance Michael Wydner met me out in Helena, AL to take some fun pictures! So, forgive me if I post too many pictures, but these are some of my favorite people in the world and I just have to share!

Skinner and I have been friends since my junior year at Samford, and she has remained one of my favorite people ever since we met!  I can’t tell you how much fun it has been for me to watch her fall in love with Michael!  From these pictures you can clearly tell how much fun they have together!

Skinner has lived in Boston, Morocco, and Dallas in the last 4 years.  I’d been dying to get her back to Birmingham, and luckily meeting some boy at a New Years eve party helped persuade her that she needed to get back to this direction!

Like I mentioned, they met at a New Years eve party almost 2 years ago.  At the time, Alison was living in Dallas and Michael was in Helena.  They did the long distance thing up until last November when Skinner moved back to Birmingham!

Michael currently lives in Helena, and they thought it would add a little sentimental value to their pictures if we took them in that area.

Michael proposed to Skinner a few weeks ago on his birthday!  They will be getting married in Dallas in March!

The pictures would not have been complete without the other love of their lives, their handsome bulldog, Biscuit!  They got biscuit back in January and he has quickly become quite a big part of their lives! I’m pretty sure it wasn’t an option NOT to have him in the photos!

And no, I am not going to be their wedding photographer!  I am excited that I will get to be an honorary bridesmaid and spend the day just having fun with these two and not working!

March 22, 2010 - 4:33 PM Mr. and Mrs. Michael Wydner » Ann Wade Parrish Photography - [...] So every once and a while I get to experience weddings from the “other side,” which is what I did this weekend as a bridesmaid to my sweet friend and (now former!) roommate, Alison Skinner.   I know you are shocked to read that I did in fact bring my camera along, even though I was technically “off duty!”  However, I forced myself to not have my camera in my hand the entire day so that I could enjoy in the fun of this special day for Alison and Michael!
