Ok, you saw their slideshow at the beginning of the week, but I can’t let this wedding pass without sharing a little info and a few more pictures! I’m not sure there was one thing about this wedding that I didn’t love. Seriously. The bride and groom were both extremely beautiful people. Her flowers were wonderful! The bridal party was so much fun. Beautiful church. Great band. Fun wedding favors. Some extremely unique elements that I’ve never even seen! Apparently Tara and Kyle were engaged for a very long time…which she clearly spent alot of that time planning a perfect wedding!

The ceremony was held at the beautiful South Highland Presbyterian Church in 5 points. This was the church where I shot the second wedding of my career, for my good friends Valerie and Wes Mitchell back in 2004! It was good to be back there. I also have to mention that she had a soloist sing one of my favorite songs during the reception, “In Christ Alone.” (Turns out thats the only song I played in the car for the entire week…a perfectly timed blessing in my life!)

This was the first reception I have shot at the Matt Jones gallery in downtown Birmingham, and I was overly impressed! It seemed like an ideal place for a reception. With there already being so many beautiful paintings on the walls, there wasn’t a huge need to decorate! Although it would’ve still looked amazing without it, Tara had some amazing centerpieces on each table, a beautiful brides cake, a very cool UGA groom’s cake, fantastic band and the lighting in the room was awesome!
She even had mix CDs as her favors, which is always my favorite thing! Favors can be a tricky things with weddings, but who doesn’t like a good mix CD? Pretty sure I’ll be stealing that idea for myself one day! Another very unique thing was that she had a blank canvas with a tray of different colored paints for the guests to paint them a picture to potentially hang on their walls in their new home! What a cool idea!

They were sent off with rose petals as they got into their old-fashioned car to head on their honeymoon! What a great night!
